Reactive dyes can dye the dyes directly to the cloth when they are dyed by high temperature dyeing machine. At the same time, due to its good diffusion ability, it is easy to diffuse the dyes into the fiber. However, since there is no chemical reaction with the fiber at this time, it is easy to wash most of the dyes off with water. Therefore, it is necessary to use alkali agent to promote the chemical reaction between the dye and the fiber and fix the dye on the fiber. The former is called dyeing, and the latter is called fixation.

Reactive dye dyeing process: 1. Absorption (color absorption): the dye is absorbed from the dye solution and diffused into the fiber. 2. Fixation (fixation): chemical reaction between dye and fiber to form covalent bond. 3. Washing (soaping): the removal of unfixed dyes from the fibers. In dyeing, reactive dyes are first dissolved in water, and the dye and water molecules enter into the fiber at the same time and are absorbed by the fiber.
